Brave New World

Six o’clock in the morning and you hear the sound
Of a bomb exploding in the neighbourhood ground
You turned a deaf ear to the calls, closed the door
Because it’s nothing new at all

Papa, mama, please don’t go away
Leave your children to face the world today
Hear them crying in the dark
Songs of love won’t ease their hearts

Don’t you know that we’re afraid
Of this world that lies ahead
Must we always wait until it’s too late
To turn around to say we’re really scared

Is this the new life we’re gonna lead
Where are all the dreams
Does the hope exist
When everything we fight for needs a value
Who’s gonna give a damn about you

Don’t you know that we’re scared
Of this world that lies ahead
How can we hope for a better tomorrow
When today doesn’t get us anywhere

The strange case of my missing blog

My other blog, Mindblogging Stuff (http://mindbloggingstuff.blogspot.com/) has disappeared out of the blue. Was it because of a bug in Google's servers? Or could Google have removed the blog? No warning signs whatsoever. No cease and desist notice. So I'm a bit mystified (not to mention miffed).

Worse of all, Google's "Blogger Help" function isn't particularly helpful - it just keeps sending users around in circles.

A case of Google becoming "too big to fail" and thus ignoring its customers?

A Picture Of Life

Obviously
Another plan
To start afresh
Find a new romance
Childhood dreams
So far away
Can’t wait for the great reunion

Probably
Never the chance
To wish for the same thing the other way
So many mistakes
So many tears
Waited for you
For so many years

Can’t deny my feelings inside
Nothing to lose
Nowhere to hide
Simply turn and walk away
Who would have known it’s make-believe?

After all
You’re still there
Can’t find someone like you anywhere
Blood red sun on a deep blue sky
Love the way you paint
A picture of life

Centrepoint
曾经怀疑这世上
到底有没有爱

又是寂寞的夜晚
不想一个人吃晚餐
翻开了昨日的Straits Times
沉醉在收音机里 的梦想
